Years ago, people would grow nervous when ships appeared on the horizon. It was often difficult to tell friend from foe. They would look through their spyglass and pray that they didn’t see the dreaded Jolly Roger, a black flag with skull and crossbones that denoted a ship full of pirates. They were often ferocious more than swashbuckling, and this piece does an excellent job of capturing all the qualities associated with the pirate life.
This pirate cutlass sword is a beautiful work of art with a Schooner (large pirate ship) engraved on the hand guard. The included scabbard has intricate metal end caps that show a skull with crossed swords beneath. The stainless steel cutlass has a slightly curved, single edged blade with a thin blood groove.
This is a great sword for history buffs. Those who are fascinated by the deadly and sometimes dastardly high seas life of pirates will also love this piece.
