Based on the famous swordmaster of Japan called Miyamoto Musashi, the Paul Chen Musashi Elite Katana features his well known double ring iron Tsubas. Credited with creating the two sword styles of swordplay with a daito and a wakizashi used together, this swordmaster also authored a book on swordplay titled Book of Five Rings. With a Tsuka-ito of leather over authentic rayskin, this katana also has a black lacquered Saya and a grip that is double pegged to the tang for safety. Made of hand forged 1065 high carbon steel, the blade is clay tempered and has a prominent hamon. With traditional construction that provides better cutting performance due to new blade geometry, this blade also has an edge hardness of HRC60 and a back hardness of HRC40.
