Featuring its hand forged and folded Tamahagane steel blade that is hand sharpened and produced from a charcoal fired furnace that produces pure steel from sand, the steel is then separated into high and low carbon pieces which form the inner core and outer skin of the blade. With hand woven silk sageo and black lacquered saya that houses small kozuka that are decorated with theatrical musical instruments, this katana also has a remarkable hada and prominent hamon. Fully functional, this powerful katana is very resilient and performs beautifully.
