Our Practical Viking sword by Hanwei was created in resemblance to the Godfred sword. With its down turned guard and lobate pommel, this Viking sword would have come about somewhere in the 9th century.
A member of the Practical broadsword group at Hanwei, this Viking sword is swift and authentically styled. It is intended for use by re-enactors or for stage use as it can withstand rugged use yet provide safety (as required b many of today’s re-enactment societies). This sword features fully tempered but un-edged and un-pointed, 1065 high-carbon steel blades which are able to provide balance and protection and good handling technique, authentic hilt styling, and leather covered hardwood grips. The pommel is riveted over by the end of the tang and the scabbard is made with a glass filled resin with adjustable belt rings for wear (either vertical or horizontal).
The Viking is an attractive sword than can be decorated to meet your uniqueness or left as is. This sword can be enjoyed by collectors as well!
