The main antagonist in the Harry Potter series by J.K. Rowling, Lord Voldemort, is a raging psychopath who murdered Harry Potter’s parents and tried to kill Harry too who miraculously survived, thus becoming known as the only person to ever survive the Killing Curse.  The curse rebounded off Harry’s body and left a scar on his forehead.  He is a highly intellingent, powerful, and ruthless villain.  

He is so feared that many won’t even use his name when speaking of him out of fear that it may bring him out of hiding and find them!  Some call him “You-Know-Who” or “He-Who-Must-Not-Be-Named.”  Even his own followers often refer to him as the “Dark Lord!”  Voldemort was the last descendant of Salazar Slytherin who was one of four founders of Hogwarts School of Wichrcraft and Wizardry.
