This performance axe exceeds the standards for throwing axe construction. It has a full tang body in one solid piece. It is made of stainless steel coated black. The steel quality stays sharp for long and hard abuse. The full tang starts at the very bottom and is 4mm thick. The handle of the Axe is wooden with a natural red finish. The wooden handle is fixed to the tang with multiple Torx type rivets.
On the rear side of the blade is a deep, angled spike with tapered edges. This adds another useful function to this Axe Master Spiked Throwing Axe. If you ever need a picked edge to dig through a surface you will have it. In addition, the spiked side provides a second piercing edge to guarantee a successive strike. On the top of the Axe blade there is a gut hook that can be sharpened to cut rope, or left as is to tear an object. The Axe Master comes with a thick nylon sheath. The steel riveted sheath has a belt loop and uses three steel snaps to secure the Axe. The blade is marked TAKEDOWN.
