The legendary ascendance of Alexander the Great coincided with the rise of the Iron Age. Thus, the great warrior enjoyed the use of swords and sought in it effectiveness, individuality and artistic embellishment. This extraordinary Sword of Alexander the Great, forged from the original 440 stainless steel is the embodiment of the warrior character and the witness of his greatness. Observe how thin the etchings at the base of the curved blade are. They represent the standing figure of the commander and some texture elements. The single-edged leaf-form blade and the detailed guard are also magnificent. It is impossible to overlook the pommel which took the shape of a lion head, pointing at the power of the one who holds it. The grip is an imitation of white marble which confers a special appearance to the sword. The plaque has been very well decorated with black velvet inlay and calligraphic outline on the edges. It is made up of wood and can hang on the wall for maximum display.

More About Alexander The Great:
Alexander the Great: July 20 356 BC June 10 323 BC) also known as Alexander III of Macedon was an ancient Greek king (basileus) of Macedon (336323 BC). He was one of the most successful military commanders in history, and was undefeated in battle. By the time of his death, he had conquered most of the world known to the ancient Greeks. Alexander assumed the kingship of Macedon following the death of his father Philip II of Macedon. Philip had unified[6] most of the city-states of mainland Greece under Macedonian hegemony in a federation called the League of Corinth. After reconfirming Macedonian rule by quashing a rebellion of southern Greek city-states, and staging a short but bloody excursion against Macedon's northern neighbors, Alexander set out east against the Achaemenid Persian Empire, which he defeated and overthrew. His conquests including Anatolia, Syria, Phoenicia, Judea, Gaza, Egypt, Bactria, and Mesopotamia, and extended the boundaries of his own empire as far as Punjab, India.
