Tennessee Renaissance Festival – This May

Travel back in time to visit an Elizabethan Village and Marketplace. Over 60 skilled Artisians can be found in the Village of Covington Glen during weekends this May during the Tennessee Renaissance Festival!

With something exciting to do each weekend, this festival is sure to keep you busy. Theme weekends include Opening Weekend Family Celebration (May 2-3), Romance Weekend (9-10), Pirate Invasion (16-17) and an International Jousting Tourney (23 – 24 – 25)!

Take a breather and join many others in celebration of a time of happiness and chivalry. Experience the laughter and fun while joining in the bustle of the marketplace and treat yourself to the flavors, aromas, and tastes of the wonderful foods offered. There will also be games of skill and Man-Powered Rides!

UB CON 2009 – This weekend!

UB Con XX is hosted by SARPA (Strategy and Role Playing Association) at the University at Buffalo in New York. With events like open gaming, table top games, warhammer, and more, there is plenty to do and much to see! UB Con is mostly a gaming convention but also features an Anime portion too.

This year there will be 3 full days of anime screenings, contests, workshops, panels, and more! This year is expected to be the best ever!

Escondido Renaissance Faire – in April!

The “Village of Falconbridge” at the Escondido Renaissance Faire offers celebration of the age of chivalry among the beautiful scenic atmosphere of one of San Diego’s most beautiful parks. Travel back to the time of Queen Elizabeth I. Feast on fabulous cuisine and taste wines and ales throughout the day. Wander through the merchants area and discover treasures and remarkable finds!

Sakura-Con is this weekend!

Cancel your plans for this weekend’s three day event, Sakura-Con in Seattle. With a huge attendance of all sorts of different folk, this event is popular for a reason!

Activities and programming include panels, cosplay, gaming, dances, and even an auction to name a few. There will also be a 2009 Anime Music Video and Original Video Animation Contest!

Anime Detour 2009

Anime Detour – This weekend!

Calling all Minnesota Anime fans! Minnesota’s own convention focused on Anime, Manga, and Japanese culture is coming up: Anime Detour! This event is open to all ages.

Special events at this fun-filled weekend are a Romeo x Juliet screening (a part of FUNimation’s screening tour) on Friday evening or the Midwest Premiere of Heroic Age on Saturday. Also there will be tons of contests, a Cosplay Competition, and room parties! Dealers and merchandise will be present as well.

Guests include (but are not limited to) Christopher Ayres, Kyle Hebert, Kristofer McCormic, Pete Abrams, and Shannon Townsend.
