Description

The ninja were warriors and assassins, cunning masters of stealth feared by the ruling class in Old Japan. They could strike without warning, poisoning their victim or slitting their throat, and then vanish silently into the dark night. They used many weapons, but their swords were particularly curious. Unlike the samurai’s katana, these swords were straight, short, and had a square hand guard.
